The start of July is always busy!. Launch day for the sloops, the start of sailing courses and Summer holidays combine to create a hive of activity around the club. Lots of parents and sailors unloading boats were a welcome sight last weekend. Again this year we have record numbers for the July courses with all levels full of energetic young sailors. Some children taking to the water for the first time along with those who are seasoned campaigners.
There is a coffee morning tomorrow (Thursday) at 1000 hours for all parents of children on the sailing course and we look forward to seeing you there.
The opening Club Supper will be held this coming Friday night and bookings are being taken by the club stewards. It is filling up fast so if you are thinking of going, don’t delay and ring today!.
The Club has lots of great club gear for sale (see our Facebook posts for photos) and we would invite everyone to come along and have a look and maybe purchase!. Items ordered prior to the 8th July will be delivered to the club before the end of the July course.
The July Lousy Cup for dinghies will be held this Saturday morning – see the club programme for full details. Saturday afternoon will see the sloops and 1720’s take to the water for the John O’Flynn Memorial Trophy followed by a members social and race prizegiving in the clubhouse.
