Thursday 26th November saw the sad passing of Richard Bushe at the age of 91 in his home, The Cove Baltimore.
Richard Bushe was one of the strongest supporters of Baltimore Sailing Club since it’s inception in the early 1950’s.
You won’t find his name amongst the list of Commodores but he quietly contributed support to every Commodore with his sound advice and wisdom over the past sixty years.
Richard was known to sailors not only in Ireland and the U.K. but also by many transatlantic sailors. He was the go-to person for sailors seeking local knowledge on any topic.
Richard will be sadly missed but his legacy lives on through the support the Club continues to receive from the Bushe family who continue their tradition of supporting the sailing community.
Baltimore Sailing Club would like to offer our sincere condolences to all the Bushe family at their loss.
May he rest in peace.
