Last Sunday 16th August saw the return of Peter Murphy’s famous treasure hunt to the Baltimore Sailing Club calendar. While this year has seen a lot of our sailing activities curtailed due to current regulations/restrictions this was a fun event that lots of family groups/households could participate in. The weather on Sunday was damp and misty – but nine teams of hardy sailors joined the fun pursuit around the village/harbour.
Questions included “Give the names of 3 twenty past fives in Baltimore Harbour” and “how many past Commodores were architects?”.
The team selfies with Gromit’s partner in the background are featured on the images above. Whatsapp was used to collect team data by Jane Murphy and a funny limerick “There was a young sailor from Heir….” completed the hunt which finished on Heir Island.
Thanks to all who took part in this fun addition to the calendar and thank you to Peter and Jane Murphy for organising.
